Here we clarify a nomination issue for “Singer-SongWriter Contest 2022” that began on 26th April 2022 (KST).

1. Misregistration of vote candidates
Our vote team started registering candidates for “Singer-SongWriter Contest 2022” from 10:13 am today (26th April 2022). During the process, Jin(BTS) has been wrongly registered on the candidate list, instead of Suga(BTS). We corrected the candidate list as soon as we found out, however, the wrong candidate list has been shown for about 1 hour due to the server delay. We apologize for any confusion caused, therefore.

2. Candidate Suggestion
In general, theme votes on FanPlus get candidate suggestions from fans. If several members are recommended from the same group, our team prioritizes the most suggested member as a candidate for the vote. (Also our vote team designates the candidates for a special themed vote event)

3. Candidate Suggestion Counting Process
All comments submitted on the candidate suggestion tweet are checked using an aggregation program to ensure that no omissions occur. After checking comments with the program, the person in charge conducts double-check to prevent misclassification, and the final result is aggregated after going through all verification processes. Candidates are selected based on the results.

The issue of candidate misregistration that occurred today was clearly a mistake by FanPlus, and we apologize once again for the issue.
Therefore, Jin(BTS) was added as an additional candidate for ‘Singer-Songwriter Contest 2022’ that began at 17:00 today.

In order to prevent the same issue from occurring in the future, we plan to upload candidate nomination information as a document to FanPlus policy board instead of notifying on an image when uploading a post.
